Esoteric Bouldering Bristol Region

This is a definitive guidebook covering the bouldering to be found around an hours’ drive from the centre of Bristol.  The Guidebook is split into 5 main areas:

1. Bristol – 8 crags including Blaise Castle Gorge, Frome Valley and Avon Gorge.
2. Costa del Severn – 4 crags between Western Super Mare and Portishead.
3. Mendips – 8 crags including Cheddar Gorge.
4. Wye Valley and Forest of Dean - 13 crags including Huntsham Hill.
5. The Cotswolds – 2 crags at Bathford Hill and Haresfield Hill.

The guidebook contains a vast amount of varied bouldering from lowballs to highballs, desperate to easy,  serious to fun, and from highly esoteric to world class esoteric.  The whole idea of the guidebook is not to be “mainstream” but many of the locations are very pleasant and perfect if you want to explore and potter around on rock and simply enjoy yourself.

All the problems are shown colour photo topos.  All the crags have clear access maps, approach information and a description of the type and style of climbing to be found.
