Why the oval shape?
Oval connectors are widely used in rope access and tree care due to their ability to accommodate multiple attachments such as connectors, slings, ropes, or pulleys. They’re equally effective in fall arrest scenarios and pre-rigged rescue setups. The rounded basket design allows connection points to self-center under load, reducing the sudden shifting or “click” often experienced with D-shaped connectors. Thanks to their symmetrical shape, they remain stable and functional regardless of orientation, reducing the need for repositioning within a system.
